Transitioning to ICE Encompass APIs

Lender Toolkit's Roadmap for Transitioning to ICE Encompass APIs

As you may be aware, ICE Mortgage Technology recently announced a significant change in Encompass integration standards, which requires action from all users by October 2025. Specifically, they have communicated that Encompass clients and partners currently using SDK integrations will no longer have access to these SDKs starting October 31, 2025. Transitional access to SDKs may be available on an exception basis, but this will come with an added maintenance and access fee.

It is important to know that our MaaS Automation tools are not affected by this announcement, however, our PowerTools are in the process of being updated to meet the new standards.

At Lender Toolkit (LTK), we understand the importance of staying ahead of these changes to ensure a smooth transition for our clients. As one of 4 elite partners with ICE and a company at the forefront of mortgage technology innovation, we are already taking proactive steps to align our PowerTools products and integrations with ICE’s new API standards.

Our Transition Plan, Roadmap & Resources

Q4 – 2024 Committed Roadmap

We have already successfully obtained API approval from ICE for our most widely used tools:

  • BizRule Analyzer (Expert)
  • FFIEC (Expert)
  • USPS (Free)
  • FEMA (Free)

We were early in seeking these approvals to demonstrate our ability to navigate the ICE API approval process and deliver solutions that meet their rigorous standards. We have been working through UAT testing and we are excited to announce that we will be deploying these tools using the ICE API as part of our Q4 Roadmap.

Q1 – 2025 Forecasted Roadmap

We have prioritized and ranked our products based on user feedback and popularity. Beginning in Q1 of 2025 we plan to continue efforts to convert the following tools to API:

  • Code Wizard
  • Loan Comparison Tool
  • MERS Automation
  • Auto-Assign
  • Home Counselor
  • Loan Folder Move
  • User Touches

All remaining tools to follow with completion of our efforts and deployment by August 2025. Stay tuned and check here for regular updates and check your email for recent announcements.

FAQs:

What PowerTools might be removed because of the API transition?
Currently, 75% of our tools have been greenlighted for the transition to API. For the remaining 25%, which are not fully supported via API, a list is included below. These tools are not likely going to transition to API and will possibly be removed from the PowerTools packages. While we are discontinuing certain tolls, we offer a range of other options and solutions that may deliver even better results for similar use cases and needs.

For the FEMA API tool: will the results be written to custom fields in Encompass?
Our goal is to have the Tool write to the new virtual fields that were added in a previous Encompass® release. We are currently testing if that capability has been added in the latest API releases.
